History

Tim Bordges started Bordges Timber Inc in 1986 after working in the Timber Industry for 10 Years. He incorporated in 1990 and then started Sierra Global Enterprises, a log yard at the port of Sacramento. Engaging in imports and exports or logs and a log reload location for mills north reaching out for log supplies.

Bordges Timber Inc. has purchased timber from USFS R5 from Bakersfield to Susanville. He has operated on 2400-6 contracts as well as stewardship IRTC’s, IRSC’s and IRIQ contracts.

Bordges Timber Inc holds Emergency Fire contracts with Cal Fire, uses VIPR in R5 and R4 and emergency contracts with Utilities PG&E and Liberty Power.

Tim has served as past president of ACL and is a board member of NWSA as well as a member of California Cattleman’s and California Farm Bureau.

Tim understands the importance of fuel reeducation and healthy forest to reduce the potential of catastrophe wild fire that change local communities and forestry.
